Hey everyone. I've grown up hearing war stories from veterans, and now i'm in love with the marines. I've done all i can to update my knowledge on the Corps.

heres a question to anyone deployed right now. What's it like out there? Please, tell me everything. There are so many rumors going around about Iraq, and i thought it would be easier if i just asked someone actually there.

im not in the marines, or anyother branch, but all my ex's and good friends are in the military services. My last boyfriend just left for iraq and my new boyfriend is going back in nov. Form what i hear its not easy, things you see will break your heart, its true not many are on the front lines, some are. theres many diffrent jobs in the marines, and it all depends on what you do. I hope you do think about it, its a good job, but talk to many people that have been there before making a choice.

I wouldn't be able to tellyou... My BF is going to leave in Sept. though... From what I heard it's not the best thing about the Marines... To be honest... I don't know how he will deal with it either...

Iraq 03

I'm a wife of a Marine that was in Iraq in 03-04. It has made my husband into a different person. He says that it is everything that you hoped you would never end up seeing. Being on the other end and knowing that someone you love so much goes through so much hurt everynight is hard. He has frequent nightmares and can not watch alot of military war movies because it puts him back in hell. If you know your limit of fear...think about being twice that and thrown back into society. Just wanted to be sure that you know what Iraq is really doing to our guys.
